Il Record Store Day porta con sé molte belle notizie. Una di queste è la pubblicazione delle Peel Session registrate dai White Stripes durante la promozione di White Blood Cells nell’ormai lontano 2001.
La performance di Jack e Meg White nello studio del leggendario John Peel fu trasmessa da BBC Radio e in poco tempo i bootleg giunsero nelle mani di molti fan, che giudicarono subito quel materiale come uno dei migliori live targato bianco-rosso-nero.
Dunque il 16 aprile Third Man Records (etichetta dello stesso Jack White) pubblicherà un’edizione limitata delle Peel Session in vinile bianco e rosso, come vuole la liturgia White Stripes, mentre è già prevista per il prossimo anno la versione classica in nero.
