Di tutti i dischi belli di questo inizio 2021, quello di Julien Baker ha le carte in regola per essere uno dei più belli.
Dopo i due singoloni Faith Healer e Hardline, oggi è uscita quella che sarà probabilmente l’ultima anticipazione di Little Oblivions, fuori il 26 febbraio: si intitola Favor e vede la partecipazione delle altre due boygenius insieme a Julien, Lucy Dacus e Phoebe Bridgers.
Pare che le tre si siano ritrovate a Nashville e in un giorno abbiano registrato questo pezzo, la splendida Graceland Too di Phoebe e pure un inedito della Dacus, che ne parla così:
We sang on Favor in Nashville the same day we recorded vocals for Graceland Too and a song of mine. That day had the same atmosphere as when we recorded the boygenius EP. Making music was just a natural result of being together, easy as can be but also rare in a way that feels irreplicable.
