I Foo Fighters hanno annunciato la pubblicazione della nona fatica discografica.

Concrete and Gold conterrà 11 nuovi brani e verrà pubblicato il 15 settembre via Roswell Records/RCA Records, a tre anni di distanza da Sonic Highways.

Il disco è stato prodotto da Greg Kurstin (Sia, Pink,  Adele, Lykke Li) che ha attirato l’attenzione di Dave Grohl grazie a quanto fatto con The Bird and the Bee – indie pop duo formato da Kurstin e Inara George:

It blew my mind – ha dichiarato Grohl in merito al brano Again and Again di The Bird and the Bee – It was so much more sophisticated than anything I’d ever heard and I became obsessed.

Secondo il comunicato stampa rilasciato dai FF, Concrete and Gold sarà:

The biggest sounding Foo Fighters record ever. To make a gigantic rock record but with Greg Kurstin’s sense of melody and arrangement. Motorhead’s version of Sgt. Pepper’s or something like that. Hard rock extremes and pop sensibilities collide.

Il nuovo album della badn di Seattle è stato preceduto – per ora- dal singolo Run.
