Drake ha annunciato un nuovo tour europeo per il 2017. The Boy Meets World Tour prenderà il via da Amsterdam il 21 gennaio e condurrà il rapper di Toronto in Inghilterra, Irlanda, Belgio, Germania e Francia. Da notare le sei date previste all’O2 Arena di Londra e l’assenza, come accaduto recentemente per i Bon Iver, di una data in Italia.
Recentemente Drake è stato costretto ad annullare alcuni degli show in programma negli USA a causa di un infortunio alla caviglia. La notizia è stata diffusa tramite un comunicato in cui viene chiarito che le 3 date sono state posticipate a seguito di un categorico ordine dei medici:
Drake suffered a severe ankle injury during the tour which he did his best to power through. By doing this, he made his injury worse. Under doctors orders and to ensure Drake only ever gives fans the performances they deserve, he will be postponing the remaining 3 dates of his Summer Sixteen tour to allow him time to recuperate his ankle injury. Drake’s fans mean the world to him. Seeing their faces and performing his music for them is what he loves to do the most and he can’t wait to get back on stage.
