Ottime notizie per iniziare il 2020 alla grande: gli Strokes hanno infatti confermato, in un concerto al Barclays Centre di New York lo scroso 31 Dicembre, che il loro nuovo album uscirà quest’anno solare.
Durante il concerto infatti, il frontman Julian Casablancas ha affermato che:
Yeah, we have a new album coming out soon. Surprise, 2020 here we come. We took the 2010’s – whatever the fuck they’re called – we took ’em off but now we’ve been unfrozen and we’re back.
Oltre l’annuncio, che conferma le anticipazioni del chitarrista Nick Valensi, gli Strokes hanno anche eseguito l’inedito “Ode to the Mets“.
Il 2020 è l’anno in cui molte release sono attese: con questo annuncio, si parte già con il piede giusto.
