Megan James e Corin Roddick, conosciuti con lo stage name Purity Ring, hanno tirato fuori un nuovo gioiellino. Il titolo del singolo è Push Pull, ed è la prima indiscrezione su quello che sarà il loro prossimo -ed attesissimo per quanto ci riguarda- album.
A due anni di distanza dal loro disco d’esordio Shrines e dopo qualche collaborazione eccellente, come i meravigliosi vocals nella rivisitazione di Breathe This Air di Jon Hopkins o la frenetica 25 Bucks di Danny Brown, il duo canadese colpisce ancora. E colpisce duro.
Dal punto di vista della produzione musicale, Roddick si aggira per territori meno cupi e oscuri rispetto ai precedenti lavori, tendendo verso un qualcosa di decisamente più leggero e romantico. La voce di Megan James, sempre in perfetta sintonia con qualsiasi suono ed i lyrics decisamente accattivanti fanno il resto.
