Autunno 2015, è questa la data prevista per l’uscita di The Hollow Of The Hand, primo libro di poesie scritto dall’eclettica PJ Harvey.
I contenuti del libro hanno preso forma durante i viaggi della stessa Harvey e del fotografo e film-maker Seamus Murhpy tra il 2011 ed il 2014. L’opera è composta da poesie e fotografie ispirate principalmente da luoghi, persone e situazioni con cui la cantautrice è venuta a contatto durante il tour di Let England Shake.
L’essenza del progetto è spiegata benissimo dalle parole della stessa Harvey:
“Gathering information from secondary sources felt too far removed for what I was trying to write about. I wanted to smell the air, feel the soil and meet the people of the countries I was fascinated with,” dichiara Harvey “My friend Seamus Murphy and I agreed to grow a project together – I would collect words, he would collect pictures, following our instincts on where we should go.”
Quanto ci si possa aspettare dalla Harvey scrittrice non lo so, ma questo disco l’ho consumato.
