Pete Doherty ha “scherzosamente suggerito” che lui e Liam Gallagher dovrebbero sfidarsi in un incontro di boxe, per risolvere le varie questioni in sospeso.
Fra i due non corre buon sangue da tempo, si sono scontrati più volte e non giova il fatto che entrambi abbiano avuto un figlio con la cantante inglese Lisa Moorish (Kill City e solista).
Nel 2005 Liam Gallagher disse ad NME:

Gli screzi fra i due sono continuati e nel 2017 le cose sono peggiorate quando l’ex Oasis sottrasse a Doherty Drew McConnell, il bassista dei Babyshambles.
E, dopo le recenti dichiarazioni di Pete Doherty al Phil Taggart’s Slacker Podcast, la pace tra i due sembra non essere vicina:
I think we should have a sponsored boxing match and the loser gets Drew. We would make a fortune for ourselves and for good causes. I’d have to find myself a sparring partner. Where am I gonna find a Mancunian with size three feet to spar with?
