Del nuovo album di Charlotte Gainsbourg sappiamo finalmente il titolo: Rest uscirà presto, ed è il primo nuovo album dal 2010, anno in cui uscì IRM.
Dentro quest album ci sarà anche la title track Rest, appunto, che è uscita poche ore fa e vede collaborare con lei niente meno che Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, uno dei due uomini che vivono sotto il casco dei Daft Punk.
Riguardo al video, Apple Music. ha rivelato che inizialmente aveva chiesto a Lars Von Trier di dirigerlo ma che il regista avesse rifiutato in quanto convinto che lei avrebbe potuto fare un lavoro migliore, per arrivare poi a guidarla passo passo nelle riprese:
At first I asked him if he would direct this video for me. He answered, ‘No… you should do it.’ He then said, knowing very well what I needed, ‘I will tell you exactly what you must do.’ He dictated quite precisely ‘the rules’ for me to follow. I was nodding through the telephone while writing down the master’s principles.
