Gli Idles hanno annunciato la pubblicazione del terzo album in studio. Ultra Mono, questo il titolo, è stato registrato a Parigi e prodotto da Nick Launay e Adam “Atom” Greenspan, coadiuvati da Kenny Beats.
Il disco contiene 12 brani, incluso Mr. Motivator, e verrà pubblicato il prossimo 25 settembre su Partisan Records.
L’annuncio è stato seguito dal nuovo singolo Grounds, accompagnato dal video diretto da Rob French che vede protagonista Joe Talbot. Quest’ultimo ha detto sulla canzone:
We wanted to write a song that embodied self-belief, and gave us self-belief – a counter-punch to all the doubt we build up from all the noise we so easily let in.
We wanted to make the sound of our own hearts’ marching band, armed with a jack hammer and a smile. We wanted to make the sound of our engine starting. So we did.
