I Coldplay sono in studio per il loro settimo album. Sì, avete letto bene.
A meno di un anno di distanza da Ghost Stories la band londinese è già al lavoro sul nuovo disco, il cui nome sarà A Head Full Of Dreams.
Il titolo del nuovo album è stato rivelato da Chris Martin ieri sera durante un intervista con Zane Lowe a BBC Radio 1. Il frontman ha spiegato che sono a circa metà della lavorazione e che per loro è come star scrivendo il settimo (ed ultimo) libro di Harry Potter, come se con questo album si chiudesse un cerchio:
“It’s our seventh thing and the way we look at it is like the last Harry Potter book or something,” spiega. “Not to say there might not be another thing one day but this is the completion of something.”
Parlando del nuovo album, Martin promette nuove sonorità, alludendo quasi ad un punto di rottura con il passato e annuncia già da ora un nuovo tour conseguente al lancio del disco:
It was great to go from Ghost Stories to go right back into the studio and now we’re making things that sound different. I have to think of it as the final thing we’re doing otherwise we wouldn’t put everything into it. Then we will go on tour.”
