Ma quanto è bello il nuovo brano di Arlo Parks, Hope?
Venerdì uscirà il suo debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams (che verrà presentato anche su Amazon Prime) e questo è il preludio ad uno dei progetti discografici più interessanti di questa stagione.
Hope è un mix molto toccante di Portishead e nu soul e, come dichiarato sul suo profilo Instagram, ci sono dentro anche Elliott Smith, DJ Shadow e Grizzly Bear. E come molti altri artisti si parla di isolamento, solitudine e brutte cose che girano nel cervello di questi tempi:
The song surrounds isolation, being present in your pain and knowing that you’re not the only one on the planet feeling low. I think especially in times like these it’s important to focus on the inevitability that things will get better.
Insomma, non puoi proprio perdertelo.
