The Good, The Bad & The Queen, supergruppo formato da Damon Albarn, Paul Simonon, Simon Tong e Tony Allen, sono al lavoro sul un nuovo album insieme a Tony Visconti – storico produttore e collaboratore di David Bowie, ma che ha lavorato, tra i tanti, anche con Peter Gabriel, The Seahorses e Joss Stone.
Intervistato da Zane Lowe su Beats 1, Damon Albarn ha dichiarato:
I’ve been recording the Good, The Bad & The Queen album I’ve been working with Tony Visconti.
He’s responsible for some of my favourite records, so that’s been really enlightening and inspirational. It’s an ode to the North of England, bizarrely, it’s sort of set in Blackpool, between Starr Gate and (uno storico pub) Uncle Tom’s Cabin, if you want to be geographically precise.
Lo scorso aprile, il frontman dei Blur ha rivelato che il nuovo album dei The Good, The Bad & The Queen è stato ispirato, in parte, dalla Brexit.
