Nathan Fake ha annunciato la pubblicazione del quarto album in studio.
Providence sarà rilasciato il 10 marzo via Ninja Tune e vanta le collaborazioni con Prurient e Raphaelle Standell-Preston.
Il nuovo LP segna la fine di un periodo poco produttivo per il musicista britannico. Dopo la pubblicazione di Steam Days del 2012 Fake iniziò a girovagare per il mondo senza riuscire a comporre nuova musica e tornato a Necton, nel Norfolk, il suo blocco creativo non ha fece altro che peggiorare.
A tre anni dall’ultima produzione, Nathan Fake ha finalmente annunciato il ritorno sulle scene con il trailer del disco ideato da Matt Bateman ed il seguente comunicato:
This album was written in a short, intense space of time, all the tracks being tightly linked with their instrumentation and melodic style. Working with vocalists Dominick and Raphaelle has been quite eye-opening, definitely adding another layer to this record in comparison with earlier works.
It’s been a very personal experience writing this album, these tracks affect me more deeply emotionally than all m…y earlier music, but that’s not to say it’s a self-indulgent, introspective record – I think it’s some of the most real and vivid music I’ve ever made.
