George van den Broek, aka Yellow Days, ha annunciato il suo nuovo album in studio, A Day in a Yellow Beat, in uscita per Sony/RCA il prossimo 7 agosto. L’artista britannico ha rilasciato inoltre il nuovo singolo Love Is Everywhere, accompagnato da un video dal sapore nostalgico diretto da Kevin Lombardo.
Il sophomore, seguito di Is Everything Okay in Your World?, includerà anche il brano Treat You Right, pubblicato a inizio mese, e ospiterà artisti come Mac DeMarco, John Carroll Kirby, Nate Fox e altri.
Attraverso un comunicato stampa, Yellow Days ha voluto fornire maggiori dettagli su ciò che potremo aspettarci da A Day in a Yellow Beat:
I’m trying to brand my own version of ironic dance music full of depressing truths about feeling distant from your friends, or a sense that nothing is worth anything. The dance beat being different from the lyrics is a metaphor for drug usage, the way you’re dealing. The track is funky as hell because you’re not handling yourself correctly…. This is really my first record where I can let it fucking all out.
