A tre anni dal precedente Fixion, ecco che sta per tornare sulle scene Anders Trentemøller. Il nuovo album Obverse uscirà infatti il prossimo 27 settembre via In My Room, e dopo Sleeper di circa un mese fa, ecco il nuovo estratto In The Garden.
Accompagnato dalla voce della newyorkese Lina Tullgren e da un video diretto proprio da Trentemøller, il processo creativo dietro a In The Garden e a tutto Obverse si è basato puramente sul lavoro in studio, senza preoccuparsi di come i brani suoneranno dal vivo:
I have always worked with contrasts in my music and in my sound. It’s in the subtle clashes of feelings and tonal contradictions that I often find pure inspiration. Obverse was always going to be about exploring the possibilities in my studio, with no consideration of how it could be performed on a stage, and it was completely liberating.
