Tra i tanti tweet che circolano in queste ore spente e tra le tantissime manifestazioni di sincero affetto che si stanno moltiplicando esponenzialmente nel web, una colpisce per la sua infinita umanità. A parlare è Brian Eno, fraterno amico di David Bowie, col quale peraltro ha collaborato per la realizzazione degli album della “fase berlinese”.
Eno racconta dell’ultima mail che Bowie gli avrebbe mandato qualche giorno fa. Una email che letta oggi, assume tutto un altro significato e che ci riporta a sentimenti di assoluta e umana malinconia per tutto ciò che è stato.
“I received an email from him seven days ago. It was as funny as always, and as surreal, looping through word games and allusions and all the usual stuff we did. It ended with this sentence:
‘Thank you for our good times, brian. they will never rot’.
And it was signed ‘Dawn’. I realise now he was saying goodbye.”
