Si tratta dell’album pubblicato (in diversi formati, compreso in vinile) da HBO in collaborazione con la Columbia Records, in cui si susseguono 14 brani, inediti e non, tutti ispirati alla serie ideata da David Benioff e D.B. Weiss.
I nomi degli artisti coinvolti sono eccezionali: ci sono i National con Turn on me; è presente Power is Power, singolo di The Weeknd apripista del progetto, con i feats di SZA e Travis Scott. Ma poi ancora compaiono i nomi di A$AP Rocky, Joey Bada$$, Ellie Goulding, The Lumineers, X Ambassadors, Rosalía, Lil Peep, Mumford & Sons.
