In una delle loro ultime apparizioni televisive, gli Alt-J hanno suonato una nuova versione di In Cold Blood insieme a Pusha T e Twin Shadow, aprendo alla possibilità di vedere presto nuova musica influenzata da sonorità hip hop.
Quella che sembrava solo un’idea remota è diventata realtà: la band inglese ha infatti annunciato REDUXER, una versione hip hop dell’ultimo album RELAXER realizzata in collaborazione di Danny Brown, Little Simz, appunto Pusha T, Twin Shadow e molti altri. A ottobre la band tornerà anche in tour con questi “nuovi” brani, ma si tratterà di una serie di date esclusivamente in Inghilterra (e le trovate qui).
It’s no secret that we love and are influenced by hip-hop, and it’s always been a dream of ours to work with hip-hop artists in re-imagining our music. With REDUXER that dream has come true. We couldn’t be happier with the results. This album is truly global, featuring rappers and producers from all over the world.
