Pochi giorni fa vi raccontavamo della possibilità che San Junipero, uno dei migliori episodi di Black Mirror in generale, il migliore forse dell’ultima stagione, avesse un sequel.
Charlie Brooker, però, fa fare a tutti un passo indietro come lo starnuto che sta per uscire ma si blocca a metà sul naso che prude. Pare infatti che con sequel non intendesse un nuovo episodio ma una graphic novel ispirata all’episodio.
Lo sceneggiatore aveva dichiarato:
We’ve thought about it. There were aspects of the story that I took out. For instance, I’d originally written a scene where Kelly is in a kindergarten and there are children there and when you realise what’s going on – it’s that these are deceased children. It was too sad and too poignant of a note to hit in that story, but I kept thinking about how that felt like a whole world in and of itself. I think we almost might do it in a completely different form if we were doing a straight sequel, if that makes sense. Maybe not even as a normal episode.
Per poi arrivare a dire:
We do like to drop Easter eggs every so often in other episodes, so we may be referring to San Junipero again, […] It’s difficult because I don’t think we’d revisit those characters. That felt like such a story and we wouldn’t want to open it up again.
Ma ecco che, quando su Twitter una fan gli chiede del probabile sequel, la festa si ferma:

Insomma, non un episodio nuovo ma probabilmente una graphic novel che, comunque, sarà un pezzo d’oro da aggiungere alle vostre librerie. Vi aggiorneremo in seguito sulle modalità d’uscita della stessa quando verranno rese note, intanto attendiamo l’uscita della nuova stagione di Black Mirror.
