Lo scorso dicembre Erol Alkan, dj e produttore discografico britannico, annunciava il ritorno in studio dei Ride, una delle band più influenti e importanti dell’intero movimento shoegaze.
A ben 21 anni di distanza da Tarantula, la band di Andy Bell, Mark Gardener, Laurence Colbert e Steve Queralt ha rilasciato il singolo Charm Assault.
Il brano anticipa la pubblicazione del nuovo album della band di Oxford, il disco è stato prodotto da Erol Alkan, mixato da Alan Moulder e verrà rilasciato via Wichita Records.
Andy Bell , a proposito del brano che potete ascoltare di seguito, ha detto:
Charm Assault’ is a pretty straightforward expression of frustration and disgust at the people who currently run our country. The tour in 2015 was a good way of reminding us what we were good at in the first place and Charm Assault feels like a natural continuation from our peak. When we started writing together again we tried to imagine we’d kept on making music all this time, and this was just the latest one.
Vi ricordiamo che i Ride sono tra gli headliner dello Ypsigrock Festival 2017.
